Have you made your workplace safe to access high places?

For Height Safety Systems to comply with current Australian Standards (AS/NZS 1891.4.2009), it must be periodically inspected, tested, serviced, and tagged.

To ensure your system remains compliant, the following are to be certified by a trained person on a regular basis:

  • Anchor points
  • Lifelines
  • Rope access systems
  • Personal Fall Protection Equipment
  • Type 2 & 3 fall arrest devices. These devices are also known as inertia reels or SRL’s (self-retracting lifelines)
  • Fixed ladders
  • Walkways & Guardrails
  • In addition to this, any equipment or systems that have been used to arrest a fall must be inspected and tested before use again.

Working Above The Rest has a scheduled maintenance program that ensures regular inspection and compliance. We will keep a record of all equipment to be inspected and certified, and will offer a reminder to the client before the certification will expire.

Keeping a current and up-to-date certification ensures all workers are able to safely access a roof or tower. It will ensure the system will not fail in the case of an incident. It is the ultimate assurance of a safe access system and allows working at heights to be both safe and effective.
